This session is an overview of how NPR staff can partner with NPR RAD information specialists.

You will learn the following:

  • How to use Artemis, NPR’s in-house digital archive, and find answers to queries like:

I am pretty sure Renee Montagne interviewed the Dalai Lama a few years back. How can I find that interview?
–What has NPR’s coverage of climate change been like during the last six months? (Hint: Play with the date picker!)

  • How to use Orpheus, NPR’s in-house digital music collection, and find answers to questions like:

-Where can I find music to use in pre-produced obituaries of musicians?

-Where can I find instrumental-only music from or about Japan? Look here.

  • How to use SourceAudio, NPR’s platform to search production music and find answers to inquiries like:

-What music can I use in a video that will be published on YouTube and other social media outlets?

-Where can I find the sound of an old fashioned alarm clock?

This training is for NPR staff only.
