Adriana Galván

Adriana Galván is the dean of undergraduate education and director of the Developmental Neuroscience Laboratory at UCLA. She is an expert on teenage brain development, behavior and related public policy, including juvenile criminal justice.

Galván’s work is centered on the emotional reactivity, learning and decision making process of adolescents. She is able to characterize neutral changes in the developing brain using brain imaging technology. Prior to her appointment as dean, Galván taught psychology at UCLA for over 13 years.
