Dedrick Asante-Muhammad is the National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s Chief of Race, Wealth and Community. He oversees the NCRC’s National Training Academy, Housing Counseling Network, DC Women’s Business Center and the Racial Economic Equity Team. Previously, he was a senior fellow of the Racial Wealth Divide Initiative at Prosperity Now and the senior director of the NAACP’s economic department and the executive director of the Financial Freedom Center.
He has testified at Congressional briefings, participated in White House meetings, and been cited and interviewed in the New York Times, The Nation, The Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, CNN and other outlets for his expertise on economic equity, race and inequalities, and politics.
