Dior Vargas

Dior Vargas is an activist and spokesperson with expertise in mental health, especially in communities of color. She works with schools, organizations and companies to discuss self-care, wellness, and related topics, and aims to normalize conversations about mental health.

Vargas is the creator of the People of Color and Mental Illness Photo Project, a venture that addresses the invisibility of people of color in media representations of mental illness.

In 2015 she was honored by the Obama Administration as a Champion of Change for Disability Advocacy Across Generations.

Vargas is featured in The New York Times, NBC Latino, USA Today and other outlets.
