Farai Chideya is an award-winning author and journalist with more than 20 years of experience combining media, technology and diversity. She is creator and host of the podcast Our Body Politic and a program officer with the Ford Foundation’s Creativity and Free Expression team.
As an author, she focuses on issues including jobs, technology, race relations and tech innovation. She is the author of Innovating Women: The Changing Face of Technology and Don’t Believe the Hype: Fighting Cultural Misinformation About African Americans. Her latest book is The Episodic Career: How to Thrive at Work in the Age of Disruption.
Previously, Chideya was a Distinguished Writer in Residence at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. She has held a number of journalism positions, including host of NPR’s News and Notes.
