Giannina Segnini

Giannina Segnini is the John S. and James L. Knight Professor of Professional Practice in Data Journalism and director of the Master of Science Data Journalism Program at Columbia Journalism School.

Her research focuses on using data to investigate across borders. She led a team of journalists and computer engineers at La Nacion in gathering, analyzing and visualizing public databases. She has also trained hundreds of journalists in investigative and database journalism in Latin America, the U.S., Europe and Asia. Segnini speaks regularly at international conferences on investigative journalism.
