Lawrence Yun is the chief economist at the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He directs research activity for NAR, creating forecasts and participating in economic forecasting panels, including the Blue Chip Council and the Wall Street Journal Forecasting Survey. He oversees research that includes NAR’s Existing Home Sales statistics, Affordability Index, and Home Buyers and Sellers Profile Report.
Yun also participates in the Industrial Economists Discussion Group at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University. He appears regularly in the media, including on NPR; is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences; and has testified before Congress.
He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park.
