Michelle Ko
Dr. Michelle Ko is an assistant professor of public health at the University of California, Davis. She researches the connections between policy, health care and social inequality.
Her research and teaching span a range of topics including:
- Medicaid
- Racial inequities in health care
- Aging and long-term services and supports
- Access to care for urban and rural underserved communities
- Diversity, equity and inclusion in the health care workforce
Ko was the lead researcher on a study that found women and minority health professionals face harassment and discrimination rural areas, and are sometimes even driven out by it.
