Priti Krishtel is a health justice lawyer and the co-founder of I-MAK, a nonprofit that focuses on improving global access to vaccines and medicines by challenging drug patent monopolies.
Krishtel has spent nearly two decades exposing structural inequities affecting access to medicines and vaccines across the Global South and in the United States.
Her recent work includes advocating for equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines across the globe and pushing the Biden-Harris administration to prioritize equity in the Patent and Trademark Office.
In addition, I-MAK’s work on the patent system has been cited repeatedly in Congressional testimony on prescription drug costs.
She is a recent TED speaker, Presidential Leadership Scholar and Ashoka Fellow.
